There’s a horse comin’
I can hear its hooves beatin’ a tattoo
on the hard pack of the alkali flats
beneath this mountain ridge
in the neck of the valley below.

There’s a horse comin’
It’s comin’ from the north, from the place of spirit
from the place of wisdom and knowledge
It has purpose and intention
It knows where it’s supposed to go.

There’s a horse comin’
The indigo vault of space is full of stars.
The moon shines on the alkali
and this mountain’s full of shadows
just like a person’s soul.

There’s a horse comin’
It’s a white horse – its mane and tail are flying
I know this horse… I remember
I’ve always known – You know him, too
Maybe you just don’t remember…

There’s a horse comin’
It’s a white horse – its mane and tail are flying
You know this horse… You remember
You've always known – I know him, too
Maybe I just don’t remember…

There’s a horse comin’
He’s comin’ closer – I can hear him blowin’
Sacred horse – Medicine horse
Welcome to this tired world
The people need wise counsel – to listen…
